Privacy policy

The short version
Your documents and their photographs are stored on your phone, encrypted, and are never sent to us. We hold your email address and a password hash so you can sign in, a record of your plan so the app knows what you paid for, and — only if you choose them — the subscriptions you track and the expiry dates you ask us to email you about. This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics scripts.
What stays on your device
Document titles, numbers, holder names, dates, categories and photographs; per-document reminder schedules. These are written to an encrypted database and encrypted files in the app's private storage, unlocked by a key generated on the device and held in its keystore. The app contains no code path that uploads a document or a photograph. The single exception is email reminders, described below, which send dates — and a title only if you ask for that — and nothing else. Deleting the app, or using "Delete my data" inside it, destroys the key and makes the data permanently unreadable.
What we store on our servers
- Account: email address, a password hash, the date you joined, and your notification preferences.
- Plan: which plan you are on and its status, received from Apple or Google after a purchase. We never see your card.
- Subscriptions you track (optional): the service name, price, billing cycle and next date you enter, and any savings events you record. These exist on the server because the money totals are computed there and they are not confidential in the way a passport is.
- Push token: if you enable push notifications, the device token needed to deliver them.
- Email reminders (Premium, off by default): the expiry dates you want to be emailed about and the days before each one. The document's name is included only if you choose "include the document name"; "dates only" means the email says that something expires and nothing more. Never the number, holder, notes or photograph. Switching the feature off, or deleting your account, removes these immediately.
What we do not do
No advertising, no sale or sharing of data with third parties for their purposes, no analytics SDKs in the app, no tracking pixels on this site. Text recognition when you scan a document runs on the phone itself — the picture is not sent anywhere to be read.
Your rights
Export or delete your account from Settings at any time. Deletion removes the server-side record immediately and is not reversible. Because documents are only on your device, we cannot export or delete those for you — you already hold the only copy.
